Patients

I wish that I could be as excited to go to the OB/GYN as my 2-year old son Ian. Every month, he races into the office and back to the nurses station so that they can weigh him. And HIS weight never makes him depressed. In fact, he gets excited if he has gained pounds.

Then, as soon as we are back into a room, he jumps right up onto the examining table, lays down, lifts up his shirt, and waits quietly for the doctor. Sometimes, if the doctor isn't fast enough, he will get the stirrups out, just in case...

Good thing we have a patient doctor who examines Ian's tummy and always tells him what a healthy and good boy he is. I just hope he doesn't get too depressed when Mom gets her baby out, and he finds out he never had a baby in his tummy to begin with.
