Christmas in Review

We had such a great Christmas. I surely do love living close to family. It is wonderful to be able to visit everyone for the holidays and sleep in the comfort of our own beds. There is nothing more magical than watching my own kids begging to go to bed worried that Santa will pass us by because they are awake, and then racing up the stairs early in the morning to see what Santa brought! Ashlyn's favorite gifts were a sticker maker that Santa brought her and a cat in a purse that she had been wanting. Tanner got a carwash for his toy cars and a remote control airplane that hooked onto his Geotrax. And Ian got a new 4-wheela and a race track! What a day!

Ian's new power wheels "4-Wheela" was the envy of his brother and sister. He rides it EVERYWHERE and fills the cargo storage with EVERYTHING.

Why does Santa always bring toys that take up so much room and have so many parts...

This is our magical Christmas morning before the kids got up. Zac is so funny... he is a perfectionist at wanting to make sure that everything looks magical and fun. He stayed up until about 2AM making sure everything was just right. Then, HE couldn't sleep all night and HE was the one up at 6AM ready to go waiting for the kids. He finally couldn't stand it any longer and went and woke them up!

For my mom and Zac's mom this year, we put together a Nativity pagent with all of the costumes so that they can keep them to use year after year. Here are the Martineau cousins getting ready for their parts.

Ashlyn was the "star" of the pagent at Grandma Julie's.

And here they are again with the Fillmore cousins. Tanner is a wiseman, Ashlyn is an Angel, and Ian is the shepherd tackling a wiseman into the manger. At least Madi has safely taken the baby Jesus out of the manger.
