New Year's Bash
The kids are very into holidays right now and kept asking me how we were going to celebrate New Year's. I wanted to make it special for them, so we decided to set up our camp tent in the Family Room and have a family slumber party. We got ourselves some snacks, silly string, and a movie and settled in for the night, hoping to make it to midnight.
About halfway through our movie (about 9PM) Tanner fell asleep. Ashlyn kept asking about every 10 minutes when we could yell "Happy New Year" and Ian took down all the snacks single handedly.
Finally, we shut off the movie at 10PM, gave the kids some pots and pans and silly strings and told them to go wild outside.
Then we all settled into the tent. In about 10 minutes the kids were asleep. Zac and I being crammed onto a tiny double mattress with his 6'4" frame and my 6'4" belly looked at each other and snuck upstairs and got into our king size bed. By the time we got all settled, we looked at the clock and it said 12:01AM... and that is the last thing I remember!
