Thanksgiving at the Cabin
Thanksgiving this year was definitely not the same without Grandma Kris! We missed her terribly. We decided to head to the cabin for the week of Thanksgiving and we went from there to the Martineau House for a good Thanksgiving dinner. And even that dinner felt like we were missing chunks of our hearts as Tanner was in Nebraska and Ashlyn had the flu and stayed home to sleep and not spread it!
The cabin had plenty of snow and ice for us to enjoy while we were there and the kids made a pretty good haul ice fishing catching a few nice fish!
Even though we were missing our Grandma, it sure felt good to be in a place that she loved and where we have made countless memories with her. We know she isn't too far away.
Ashlyn also had some good Thanksgiving fun with her roommates by posting Happy Thanksgiving signs on anyone who still had jack-o-lanterns out from Halloween or had their Christmas lights up too early. She is a clever and funny girl!
