I'm Dreaming of a White Easter???

We had a late Easter this year... April 9th in fact, and yet we still had a miserable snow storm that made it hard to enjoy Easter Egg hunts or the weather outside.

So we packed up on Friday and headed to Mackay to stay at our cousins ranch in Moore, Idaho.

Whitlee loved their new puppy, Moses, who is half dachshund (wiener dog) and half Australian Shepherd and she made sure to give him lots of cuddles.

Despite the snow, it didn't stop these boy cousins from fishing together, which is one of their favorite pastimes when they get together.  They even caught a few fish!

While the boys fished in the cold, the girls played a fierce Wacky 6 tournament with their competitive cousisns!

And tricky Aunt Nichole set up an inside Easter Egg hunt... without the eggs of course.  The kids had to be blindfolded and they got to keep whatever money they dared grab!

The kids ended with a skeet shoot competition and I was amazed at what a good shot all of these kids are!

On actual Easter Sunday, we got together at Aunt Lyndsay and Uncle Greg's.  They were also being tricky and filled plastic Easter Eggs with flour to toss.  We had a yummy Easter dinner together and missed Grandma and Grandpa Martineau who were still in Nevada and we were also missing Tanner as this was our first Easter without him.

We did have a chance to decorate a few eggs while we were at the cabin.

And Ian made more of an experiment than a beautiful Easter Egg when he made a car all made out of matches for his little egg guy.... boys!

It was a great Easter and as always we loved eating our traditional Resurrection Rolls and thinking about the Atonement and resurrection, which really hit home this year as we have been missing Grandma Kris.  We are so grateful for our Savior and all that He did for us, so that we can be together forever!
