Watching an Epic BYU Basketball Game Against the Zags

One of our favorite things to do as a family is heading South to Provo to cheer on the BYU cougars in a great football or basketball matchup.  I don't think a more epic rivalry exists than that between BYU and Gonzaga!  So when the Zags come to Provo to play the Cougars, we do what we can to get there.  This year, we decided to take a Cougar Fan that is as crazy and fanatical as we are and we took Grandpa Rich along with us!

To pass the time on the way to Provo, we played a long game of Monopoly, where Bronson came off victorious after placing some hotels on Boardwalk and Park Place!

Before the game, we passed some time shopping and playing at Smith and Edwards, exploring campus and the bookstore, driving up to the trailhead to the Y to get a glance of the beautiful Provo skyline, and we of course had to sample the ice cream at the BYU Creamery.

On the way home, we had to introduce Grandpa Rich to Scheels and also made a stop in Salt Lake to check on the progress at Temple Square.

This may have been one of the most exciting games I have ever watched.  BYU led until the last 30 seconds, but eventually succumbed and lost by 2 points. So tragic!  But a very memorable and delightful trip chalk full of some great family memories!
