Spending Time at the Bar

It has been amazing to watch Zac grow his hobbies and talents into a full business that continues to bloom and grow.  In addition to the house plans and property management that he has taken on these past few years, he has also become the go-to guy for commercial renovations, which has translated into a part-time job for our older kids and me and we lend a hand where and when we can.  Of late we've been spending a lot of time in the bar.  We have had a lot of fun tearing apart a very old and very historic bar in our town, to make it new again in the form of an upscale steak house, which we are very excited to have moving into our little town.

Underneath corkboard and scads of bar decor, we have found some beautiful and historic murals.

There is something so therapeutic about ripping things apart and breaking things down to make way for something new and exciting that the whole town can enjoy.  Our boys are learning so many skills from their dad and all of our kids from the 16-year-olds on down to the 6-year-old are learning how to work so hard.
