St. Patrick's Day!

St. Patrick's day may be one of the best days of the year.  I was feeling kind of bad because Whitlee had hyped it all week to our little friend Josie that we babysit.  Finally, Josie's mom had to ask me just what goes on at our house during St. Patrick's day because she didn't want Josie to be let down if the leprechauns didn't visit them!

The big kids even still love to get in on the action and here is what they all came up with.

Poor Ian, is usually so innovative, but with basketball taking up all of his time right now, he just didn't have time to make the trap that he wanted, so the night before, he threw this one together in about 5 minutes.

Whitlee went with the classic tying a string to a stick trick.  She was way more excited about decorating the "house" than she really cared about trapping a leprechaun.

Charlotte decided to make a slide into a juice pitcher and then they would be stuck.

Bronson thought the whole "slide into a trap" concept was a good idea and this is what he created.

And Ashlyn has been listening to a lot of country music lately and decided that she wanted to make a Leperchaun Bar and get them so drunk that they would be passed out and still here in the morning.

The leprechauns came that night and of course busted every single trap!
The used sticks and ropes to get past Ian...

They used a pirate ship to get through Tanner's and blasted holes with a cannon into Bronson's trap.

Ashlyn underestimated how much leprechauns can drink!

Those leprechauns were everywhere!!

They even left rude notes, messes, and lots of surprises...

But the kicker was when they tried to make a kid trap and trap the kids!!  They set up a life size Candy Land game...

That led to the "Candy Castle" box.  The directions said, "Congratulations, you made it to the Candy Castle, no climb in the box and tape it shut and mail yourself to Ireland.

Needless to say, the kids didn't fall for it, but they sure had fun playing!
