9er 9er Charlottes 9!

Charlotte turned 9 and I can't believe how fast the year has flown by.  It seems like we were just baptizing this girl and now she is already 9!

And here's how it went down:

We planned an epic Spa Themed party.  We made Rainbow Cupcakes.

And invited friends over to eat fancy spa foods.

Get pedicures

And manicures

And had a fancy Spa Lady Cake with a fancy chandelier candle holder.

This girl got super spoiled from her brothers and sisters with flower seeds, flower pots, a bird feeder, a crystal growing kit, jewelry, a slime kit, and a stuffed animal.  As well as some roller skates from mom and dad.  Needless to say, she was very grateful!

10 Things About Charlotte:

1.  This girl can talk!  She is so personable that she can talk to anyone, anywhere, and about anything.  She has mentioned that she might like to be a hair stylist when she grows up and she is practicing by trying to get in on every conversation she can and always wants to be in on the know.

2.  Charlotte is very artistic.  She loves to draw and can often be found with crayons or markers doodling pictures of unicorns and flowers and creating word art from quotes she makes up herself.

3.  She has a hilarious sense of humor.  Charlotte has always been very precocious with a mature sense of humor.  She often has witty observations and cracks us up with her very grown up point of view.

4. She is friendly.  She explained her friend system to me the other day.  She tries to make friends with all of the different friend groups that she can find at school so that she can always have someone to play with.  She has such diverse interests and can fit in just about everywhere.

5. She is happy.  This girl has a sunny disposition.  She is always smiley and bouncy.

6. Charlotte is incredibly sensitive.  She is our kid that doesn't do well with movies with any kind of violence, or sad scenes.  She internalizes things more than the other kids and can empathize with others, which makes her so unique.

7. She is incredibly creative and very smart.  She excels so hard in school that they have to think of ways to keep her challenged.  She uses that creativity at home to keep herself always entertained and thinking of fun things for her brothers and sisters to play.

8. She is an enthusiastic reader and set an amazing goal for herself to read all of the Harry Potter books 2-7 and she is unbelievably a quarter of the way through book 7 right now and on track to finish by the end of the year.  Needless to say, she has blown all of the reading goals that were set for her out of the water and is in the top of her grade for reading points.

9.  She loves gardening and flowers.  Every year for her birthday she asks for flower seeds, pots, and gardening tools.  She just loves to see things grow.

10. She is a great babysitter!  She loves little kids and babies and is a very attentive and fun babysitter.  Whenever, I ask her to help me with a babysitting job, I can pretty much turn it over to her 100% with no worries and she loves every minute of it.
