Martineau Cousin Camp

We had an opportunity this year to get together with all my sisters, their spouses, and kids, along with my mom and dad to have a Martineau family reunion.  Even though we all live relatively close, it seems almost impossible anymore to get us all together at the same time... especially for a full weekend!  Every single one of us was there and it was so much fun.

My dad picked a beautiful campsite near Alpine Wyoming and it really was breathtaking.

This friendly moose wandered through our campsite and didn't seem all too concerned that it was occupied by 31 people.

Grandma brought craft paints to paint rocks, however the kids thought it was much more exciting to pain ttheir faces.  Ashlyn was very patient as the little cousins gave her a makeover.

On Saturday, we decided to venture over to the creek to play in our swimming suits.

Because of our record breaking winter, the creek was incredibly full, which made for some really fun floating... and BRIDGE JUMPING.
I can't believe that my kids were brave enough to jump off this bridge!  Tanner especially thought it was exceptionally fun and jumped off that bridge probably 100 times, doing all kinds of twists and tricks and he flew off that thing.

Ian bridge jumping.

We also went as a family on a hike to Intermittent Springs.  It is a gorgeous place where a natural spring comes out of a cave and down a mountain, and intermittently turns on and off due to some scientific phenomena that I can't even begin to explain.  Sadly, because the water was running high everywhere, the creek had a steady flow and wasn't turning on and off, but the hike was easy enough that even Whitlee managed it with no problem and the scenery was GORGEOUS!

This brave little chipmunk kept sneaking up and stealing our lunch.

After the hike, we drove over and checked out the new Star Valley Wyoming temple.  The stained glass in this thing was something to behold.  I really do love to see the temple.  Walking around the temple grounds no matter what temple, always makes my heart happy.

The kids loved being with their cousins on the grounds of the temple and it was just magical to be with our big family in the place where families are sealed together forever.  I am so happy to have such a wonderful family to be stuck with forever.
