A Quest for the BYU Box

We went on a hunt for the BYU box, AGAIN.  I swore after last year we would never do that again, but Zac got home from a business trip the day the box was scheduled to drop in Idaho and the kids were begging... so off we went on a quest.  Every year 50 days before the BYU football kicks off, they drop off a football helmet and some BYU t-shirts in each of the 50 states one in each state per day.  Idaho has such a huge BYU fan base that they dropped six boxes this year.  Two of them were in Idaho Falls, one in Rexburg, and one in Pocatello.  We decided to take our chances in IF, since Zac and I know that area more than Pocatello and Rexburg was further than we wanted to travel.  We made a guess of the approximate area the box would drop and then waited, waited, and waited some more... only to find ou that we were on the opposite end of town from the drop.  Drats!  Too late.  THEN for some dumb reason we decided we had time to bust it to Pocatello to try for the box there, so we flipped around drove another 45 minutes and then waited, and waited, and waited only to find out that the box was again dropped on the other end of town.  We drove to the location anyways to join in the fun, though we were much too late, the winner graciously let us hold his fan helmet.

We were missing our Ian as he was at a scout day camp.

Even though we keep missing, there is certainly fun and adventure in the anticipation!  We can't wait until the twins can drive, then we can really split up all over the valley... OR maybe I will just buy a darn helmet and call it a day.
