Whitlee May is 3!
This little cutie recently celebrated a birthday! Now she is 3 years old and couldn't be cuter. She definitely rules the roost at our house.
The morning started off with a brand new bike! (Mom ran over her trike with the suburban and decided it was time for a big girl bike).
She also got many thoughtful and wonderful gifts from her siblings. More than anything for her birthday she wanted an Elsa backpack and Charlotte got her a darling one. She told Ashlyn that she wanted a giraffe, so Ashlyn bought her an assortment of zoo animals. Tanner got her a Finding Nemo bubble blower, Ian got her some bath color tablets and a treat, and Bronson got her a Frozen matching game. Mom and dad got her a bike and some clothes for her dolly.
After opening a few presents in the morning, we zoomed off to Salt Lake for a mini-family vacation and some General Conference time.
We got to stop that night and pick up a cake at a grocery store and sing Happy Birthday to Whitlee in a Hotel room, which made it a little tricky to light a candle.
In the morning, I caught her sneaking up on this counter to help herself to a cupcake. She whisper-sang Happy Birthday to herself before she ate it. It was the cutest thing ever.
10 Things About Whitlee May, aka Whitty, Whit, or Whitty Bug
1. She loves her "W". She can spell her name and knows that her name starts with a W. No one is allowed to write a W, say the letter W, or even think about it without a scolding from Whitlee that it is her W.
2. Her best friend is Josie, a 2-year old red head full of spunk that we get to babysit everyday while her mom is at work. The two of them are like twins. They are inseparable and they even have some matching outfits. They have become like sisters this past year.
3. Whitlee loves babies and princesses. She can play for hours alone in her room with her baby dolls and her Fisher Price Princess castle, which she loves.
4. She has been taking preschool lessons with Bronson this whole past year and is getting very smart. She can spell her name as well as Bronson and Josie's names. She can count to 30 and knows her alphabet.
5. She loves to be outside and is often running wild with her hair free and her shoes kicked off.
6. She has VERY curly hair. Everywhere we go she gets compliments on that naturally curly hair. Also, her dang hair won't grow. She has never had a haircut, other than I cut off a mullet piece once to even things out. Her hair is still too short for a ponytail!
7. She has a very funny sense of humor. Her brothers and sisters think she is hilarious. She talks really well and says very grown up things that make mom and dad laugh too. My favorite things that she says right now is that she likes to "soft" things... pet something softly, as in "I softed the kitten." And kindofly. As in, "It's kindofly warm outside today."
8. She has to wear a skirt or tutu every day. Dancing is a part of daily life and can only be done in a skirt.
9. She loves to snuggle with Dad and Mom in their bed and sneaks out of bed several times a night and very sneakily climbs right in between and is sometimes careful enough in that big King size bed, that no one realizes she is there until morning. Recently, we asked her what she is afraid of most and she quickly replied, "My bed!"
10. Her favorite TV show in the whole wide world is Daniel Tiger. She got a trolley and Daniel Tiger toys for Christmas and she loves them.
