Easter
I absolutely love Easter for so many reasons. First and foremost because we get to celebrate the Savior and the amazing sacrifices he made so that we can return to our Heavenly Father and be resurrected. I also love that it ushers in Spring and brings fun family traditions that help cement Easter memories.
We started our celebrations this year with a special Family Home Evening where we talked about Easter, the symbols of the season, and later went back and watched the beautiful new Bible videos on lds.org that depict the Savior's life. After we talked about Easter, we dyed and decorated large hordes of Easter eggs.
Poor Zac was down with the flu and could barely make it up to the counter to watch the festivities. Fortunately, he had a good little nurse to snuggle him up.
After the eggs were decorated, the kids began spinning them and fighting them like Beyblades. We may just have a new Easter tradition!
Easter Saturday brought the Easter Bunny and several fun prizes that we could use outside to help us ring in Spring... bubbles, velcro mitts, water guns...
And some much needed camping gear!
Including a new tent that can fit our whole family set up outside!
That tricky bunny also hid candy everywhere!
This little Buster has been so interested in rainbows lately that we put some of that Easter candy to use to conduct our own little rainbow experiment. I think it turned out pretty cool!
This was a fun Easter dessert that we made to take to Grandma's Easter party. Rice Krispy treats dyed Easter colors to look like Easter eggs!
Love, love, LOVE this family of mine and I am enjoying every single minute soaking up the fun and love that a young family generates. We couldn't be more blessed!
