Softball is a Hit!

This year we tried to talk Ashlyn into playing soccer.  Soccer is co-ed and she could have been on Tanner's team, which would have saved us many nights of running around.  But she wouldn't have it.  She wanted to play softball.  So softball we did.

This year the girls did all the pitching, which meant a lot of walking...

And stealing bases.

And not much fielding.

BUT- Ashlyn much preferred to hit the ball to just letting the pitcher walk her every time, so more often than not, this girl swung even at the wild pitches and she got many successful hits.

Her team finished off fourth out of five teams (The final score of the tournament game that knocked them out was 23-3!), which was rough, but the thing I love most of all about this girl is that even in this day and age of competitiveness and the drive to win, Ashlyn truly is there to have fun and make friends and she always does both.  She is always positive, upbeat, and gives it her best and that is one of the things I love most of all about Ashlyn.
