Halloween

This is the part of the blog where I show you our costumes and our pumpkins and tell you about what we did on Halloween.

Bronson was a monkey... not a lion.

Charlotte was Cinderella and once upon a time her hair was done cute.

Ian was a just a bat even though everyone kept calling him batman.

Ashlyn was a bumblebee, not the transformer, just the insect.

And Tanner was a basketball player who refused to wear short shorts and an afro, because he was not a "retro-basketball player" despite my attempts.  Though, I won't complain because this costume was WAAAAAAAAAAAAAY, WAY, WAY easier than the costume we manufactured last year and a ton cheaper too!

Now comes the Pumpkin Portion...
We carved pumpkins!

Ashlyn's was a cat.

Ian's was spooky.

Charlotte wanted to do everything to her pumpkin that everyone else was doing and MORE.

Tanner's pumpkin was eating a guy and various other things throughout the night.

Zac and I had a contest.
If you are not familiar with our Halloween tradition, every year Zac and I have a contest to see who can come up with the most creative pumpkin.  The idea has to come from our own heads, no Internet or pumpkins we have seen otherwise replicated.  Absolutely NO templates.

Notice that I said "Creative" pumpkin, not "Artistic"... this is where people get confused.  Every year, I can be WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY more creative than Zac, but because he is much more artistic than me, he always wins.  Case in point...

Pumpkin patch baby... this is how pumpkins are born.  Now how creative is that?  This idea should have won hands down....

but because Zac can do this...
Pumpkin Pie

And this...
Pumpigloo

He always wins.

CHEATER CHEATER PUMPKIN EATER

Regardless, we had an absolutely wonderful Halloween, full of carnivals, trunk or treats, trick or treats, family gatherings and lots of CANDY!!!

I think Zac's are just as creative as they are artistic. Give the man some credit. Yours are both amazing.
