4th of July

I've got to say that the Fourth of July has got to be one of my favorite holidays.  I absolutely love history, and especially history from the American Revolution period.  The more I read and learn about our country's history, the more I have to admit that it is undeniable that God had a hand in the formation of this country.  I am so thankful for those brave men and women that helped fight for our freedom and made this country what it is today.  That said, here is how we celebrated...

Watching the fireworks at Aunt Marilyn's cabin by the lake.  Look at her gorgeous wildflowers.

Everything is 100x better when it is shared with cousins.

This girl was dressed patriotically for the occasion.  Unfortunately, this is the only way I could get her to pose.

Fortunately, Grandma Kris got one of her at the cabin earlier.

Bronson getting ready for fireworks.

Lots of siblings and cousins to entertain him, makes him one happy boy.

The moon was almost better than the fireworks.  It came up huge and full and red as can be, we all grew silent as we watched it rise over the mountains.

Cousins

Playing on the Reservoir

Zac and I decided to go for a spin in the paddle boat.

So of course, all the kids wanted to come too!

Charlotte and Dax playing a friendly game of tether ball (otherwise known as "keep away" when 2-year-olds play!)

Eating, laughing, and visiting with family

And always fishing with this one!

We were able to stay for several days crowning our trip with a trip to West Yellowstone, an Imax movie, and some good restaurant fare!

Happy Independence Day!
