We had such a wonderful Fourth of July spent as a family.  After an adventurous week of camping, we ALL, yes ALL of us even the baby slept in until 9:30 am, making it impossible for us to catch any parades!  So we spent the day together as a family swimming in our pool, eating pizza in the park, and catching Rio at the movie theatre, where we happened to be only one of three families in the whole theater.

We ended the night with some brownies and ice cream and a bag of fireworks.  Zac and I have been studying our forefathers a lot lately and have been feeling very patriotic.  Zac asked the kids if they knew why we celebrated the Fourth of July, to which this conversation took place:
Ashlyn: "I know, I know, it's not just about fireworks."
Tanner:  "It's probably about Jesus, most holidays are about Jesus."
Ian:  "I know why we celebrate it!  It's because it is a special holiday, that's why!"
Charlotte: "Whhhhhaaaaaaaa!!!!!!"

Hopefully, we got them straightened out!  What a wonderful holiday.  We are so thankful to live in America!
