It's The End of the World

Adding a fourth baby to our family has certainly not been easy-- however, with all of the extra challenges we have had over the past four weeks, (c-section infection, stomach flu, cold/flu, house showings, mastitis, and the baby being sick) it is amazing that we have survived! Thanks so much to everyone for all of the help that we have received with the kids and with meals and all the prayers and just sympathetic listening. Hopefully, we are all on the up and up!

I felt poetic today and decided to put our misfortune to the tune of REM's "It's the End of the World as We Know It". It works, so long as you don't actually try to play the song and sing it together at the same time... Enjoy!

Oh great it starts with a c-section infection, just take these pills and you'll be okay.
Eye of the Hurricane listen to the pus drain
Feed a baby, wipe a nose, now the two-year old explodes
Get a clue, stomach flu, now we all spew and husband has to work away.
Show the house no time to shower, sweep and mop, be out in an hour
Sick or not, just don't delay.

It's the end of the world as we know it.
It's the end of the world as we know it.
It's the end of the world as we know it and I feel fine.

Now Zac is back and germs attack, cold and flu, he's in the sack
And Ian spewed again today(for the fifth day in a row!)
No sleep, listen for baby's heartbeat
She can't breath, she can't eat, cries more than she sleeps
Green snot oozes from her eyes and nose, mom's anxiety grows
Doctor keeps saying she'll be okay.

It's the end of the world as we know it.
It's the end of the world as we know it.
It's the end of the world as we know it and I feel fine.

Now boobs swell, pain from hell, fever, chills, aches, and pains,
Still listening to pus drain
Nothing rhymes with mastitis but mastitis
So here's some pills get rid of chills and everything will be okay
Now save yourself and show the house,
Slam, fight, bright light but still feeling pretty psyched, Right!

It's the end of the world as we know it.
It's the end of the world as we know it.
It's the end of the world as we know it and I feel fine.

Oh sounds like a heck of week or 2. I'm sorry!! I've heard that Mastitis is the worst ever and I'm sure that an infected incision from you c-section isn't any better. I do hope that all turns out better and the your little one starts sleeping!!
