Our Favorite Family Pastime

In our quest to find cheap family fun, we came across Geocaching and fell in love. First, we log on to http://www.geocaching.com/, and search for caches near our location. Then we use Zac's phone, which has a built in GPS function and follow the map to the treasure. The map will take us to within 10 yards of the treasure, then we have to start searching under logs, rocks, and even in trees. When we find the treasure box full of toys, we let the kids pick one and then they have to replace it with one of their old toys. It is so much FUN! The kids love it and beg to do it almost every day. And best of all it is free!

Here we are on our way to Yellowstone. We stopped to Geocache and found this one in an old log. You can see how thrilled the kids are with their prizes.
