Charlotte Turns Sweet 16

Our fuzzy, white, cotton-haired crazy baby turned sweet 16!  And what a beautiful, lovely young woman she is turning out to be.

This talented girl made her own birthday cake.

She is so good at making cakes; it truly was delicious.

Ten Fun Facts About the Birthday Girl:

1. Charlotte loves to bake.  She is learning to perfect the art of decorating cakes and sugar cookies.

2. She is incredibly artistic and makes beautiful art.  Her piece of heaven is to find a quiet place in the forest near the cabin and to quietly sketch.  She has so much patience and an eye for detail and makes beautiful art.

3. She is the girl who does everything.  She plays volleyball and basketball and does student government, and all of it keeps her busy all day long, every day as she goes from practice to practice and game to game.  She is so coachable and grows in her athleticism by leaps and bounds every year.  She is so fun to watch.

4. Charlotte loves fashion and has such a unique style all her own.

5. Charlotte has been teaching herself how to sew and has a natural knack for figuring out how to make her own clothing.

6.  Char loves to write and has been working on creating a novel in her very little spare time.

7. She loves reading as well and especially loves Victorian-period books by Jane Austin and Charlotte Brontë... but her favorite book of all time... is also her favorite movie of all time, "Little Women," and she has watched it probably 5 times.

8.  She might have hyperactive ADD?  She can't sit still and always has to be poking someone or playfully rage-baiting her siblings.   But she is playful and fun and her siblings love her.

9.  She is a Marvel fanatic and could tell you anything and everything about all of the characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.  But her favorite is Spider-Man.

10.  She has a beautiful testimony and is my sunshine girl.  The Light of Christ shines thorugh her.
