Track State

Ian qualified for state track in two events, discus and shotput!  Discus was a given for him and he beat everyone by a very large margin, but he didn't think he would make it in shotput and even after he threw he didn't think he made it until they announced the winners and he took 3rd!  He was so excited to go to State.

The weather wanted to be cold and rainy but fortunately, he was the first thrower of the first event on the day and he got to throw before the rain came down.

He did not get a new PR or place, but he had an awesome time being able to be there and participating.

The next day was shotput and he once again was one of the first throwers.

No new PR, but he had marks that counted and he wasn't LAST and that was one of his goals.

In between the events from Day 1 and Day 2, we had some time to kill and since Tanner didn't get to go to Wahooz with us last time we went while he was at track state, we took him to play!

We got to take Ian home with us, and we stopped and did some shopping on the way home.  The kids especially love shopping at Scheels!

We have loved having these fun reasons to go to Boise and we are so proud of our kids for working so hard to improve their talents.  We are really going to miss watching this boy throw!
