Bronson's 11th Birthday

We sure love Bronson and he has such a good sense of humor!  For his birthday he wanted a chocolate cake.  He thought he had outgrown wanting fancy decorated cakes and just wanted a good chocolate cake this year... but then he saw THIS dinosaur kit in the cake decorating aisle and he knew that was the cake for him.  Even when mom screwed up the cake, making a crummy mess, he was still a good sport and loved his dino cake!

He ran out of fingers this year!  Hence 10 fingers and a toe!

Some fun birthday surprises from his siblings included football trading cards and a binder to keep them in.  Underglow lights for his bed from Ian, and a computer programming toy from Ashlyn.  Mom and Dad got him a basketball arcade game for his room.  He was a happy boy!

10 Things We Love About Bronson
1. He is funny but also serious.  Bronson has a hilarious sense of humor.  He loves to play tricks and tease his siblings.  He is good at burns, but if you aren't in his inner circle (family and friends) he comes across as very serious and gets teased a lot by extended family, teachers, and classmates about being too serious!
2. He loves basketball!  Basketball is his most favorite of all sports and he would play it every day if he can find an open hoop.  He is always trying to talk the family into basketball nights at the church or in the driveway.  He participated in a travel league this year and still loves to play.
3. He is very good at the piano and cello and loves to play music.  He has such a talent for music and he practices harder on the piano than anyone else in the family.  His songs are starting to sound complicated and polished and we love hearing him perform!  The cello was a new addition this year as he is participating in the school orchestra program and he has enjoyed learning the cello this year.
4. He is a country music fan.  This kid is true to his love of a genre and if he is on his own putting away laundry or doing chores, he is blasting country music.  He has a few favorites that he has learned and can sing all the words to, like "Low Places" by Garth Brooks and a few others.
5. He loves buttons, wiring, and technology.  Bronson is still incredibly curious about how the world works around him.  If there is a button that needs pushing, it almost physically hurts him to let someone else run a remote or hook up a piece of new technology.  He has also taken a big interest in electricity and wiring this year and his dad helped him make a circuit board where he can practice wiring electricity!
6. He is very good at games, especially strategy games.  This kid kicks our butts at games that involve strategy, namely Monopoly, Catan, and especially Chess.  He has challenged most of the 14-18-year-old boys in our ward to chess matches and beats them!  As well as his siblings and myself!
7. He loves to design businesses and logos-  If he has a free minute, Bronson is doodling.  His artwork almost always consists of new logos for businesses that he has created, new shoe designs, or other inventions.
8. He is getting handy with tools.  Bronson has been a good helper to Zac this past year and is learning how to operate various tools.  He is getting pretty advanced and even sawed a piece of wood to say Zac and Lori stacked on top of each other.  He is amazing!
9. He loves school and is very smart.  Bronson continues to thrive at school getting straight A's.  He loves his GT class and all of the projects they do.  He has a very sharp mind.
10. He loves his family and is very loyal.  I have never seen a sibling so dedicated to supporting his other siblings as Bronson.  If anyone has a game, tournament, or track meet.  He wants to be there cheering them on, even if no other sibling chooses to go.  He is the number one supporter of Tanner on his mission and writes him e-mails almost weekly.  He remembers to pray for his siblings.
Bronson has such a bright testimony and emanates the pure Love of Jesus Christ.  We feel so blessed to have him in our family!
