Get with the Program

Tis' the season for school Christmas programs!
And I just LOVE them.  I love how excited the kids get, I love how much time and patience the teachers put in to teaching the kids these songs, and I just love hearing children singing.

Charlotte's program was first this year.  The gym was packed wall to wall and of course, I am never early, so I was shooting video from pretty much the last row trying to get over everyone's heads to get some shots of my daughter, while also simultaneously trying to hold the camera steady from the three toddlers climbing on my lap.
I especially loved hearing these kiddos sing, "All I want for Christmas is my Two Front Teeth" because that song has some special meaning to Charlotte this year.  She didn't even have to add the fake lisps to the song!

Yes, two front teeth would be a nice Christmas gift.

Ian's 4th grade class is pretty big and their gym is pretty small, so they got to perform in the high school auditorium.  Last year, our school district got a new music specialist and boy oh boy is she amazing.  She teaches the twins strings class and she teaches all different kinds of instruments to the 4th graders.  During the course of this program, these kids played bells, beat sticks, drums, recorders, and kazoos.  As well as singing with accompaniment from the xylophone.  This program was a spectacular of epic proportions!

Ian even got to sing in a quartet.  He is so brave and so confident in his talents and abilities.  I wish I could be more like Ian.  I love this kid!

Merry Christmas!
