Shooting Stars

It's that time of year again!  One of our favorite sports is in season and we have a "ball" participating :)

This year I decided to sign Ashlyn and Tanner up for the Snake River basketball league as that is where we are moving and I assumed we would be living in our new house while the season was in progress wanted the kids to make some new friends for when we moved!

The kids are the purple panthers, just like their mom's middle school mascot, and their dad's high school mascot.  We must just be destined to be Panthers.

Ashlyn has improved so much this year.  Where last year she shied away from the ball because she was nervous to get in the center of the action, she was really getting in there this year.  She got lots of rebounds and even got some shots up.  We are so proud of her.

She is very good at keeping her arms up and making herself big.  Ashlyn has an amazing positive attitude and is always smiling and laughing regardless of how the game is going.  She makes friends so fast and really enjoys the new friendships she has created.

Tanner has also had a stellar year.  This boy works so hard and has lots of hustle.  Where he was the main scorer on his team last year, he has really had some competition on his own team this year as he has many talented team mates.  Tanner has had to work twice as hard to get in there to get the rebounds and get his shots in.

Tanner is very quick and has become an impressive dribbler this year.  They have had him playing point guard and he really enjoys dribbling the ball down the court and getting past the defenders.

The best part about watching Tanner play is seeing the pure joy on his face doing something he loves and watching him work so hard to achieve his goals.
